College Prep

Noble Street campuses strive to help students, most of whom begin high school without an idea of what college is or the value of a college degree in today’s world, develop a clear vision of college, embrace college graduation as a personal goal and understand and feel prepared for the steps necessary to achieve that goal.

  • College Visits – Students visit local and regional schools on campus-run field trips each year beginning freshman year.
  • Campus Décor – Students are surrounded with college pennants and flags in the hallways. A map at each campus depicts where graduates and teachers attended college. Pennants outside classroom doors denote where teachers went to college and graduate school.
  • The Noble Way – Students develop self-discipline, integrity, and perseverance by becoming a part of Noble Street’s discipline-based culture; and self-confidence by performing in front of their peers and community members and hosting campus visitors.
  • Academic Growth – Students are engaged in the effort to master college readiness skills, and know that their teachers are focused on this goal. Students review results of Noble’s quarterly assessments to see where they are on the road to college readiness.
  • Summer Enrichment – All students have the opportunity to apply for a summer program on a college campus and are assisted with the application process. Students who participate share their experience with their peers.
  • College Prep Class – All seniors are enrolled in a regular, year-long class dedicated to college preparation. In this class, students research colleges, complete applications for admission, financial aid and scholarships and finally choose a school to attend. The teacher also works with families throughout the process.

Testimonial - Student - Rauner - Ososami Oluwaseun

“The best thing about Rauner College Prep is the students. Everybody comes from different cultures, but they come here to study and work hard, and it unites the students to learn about each other’s cultures.”
